And Beast is BACK! It's funny that Beast is returning, actually. I originally meant only for him to be a Mist creation of all the people Brand associated with fear; namely Hans, Grey, and himself (Id). However, Beast took on a much more aggressive and assertive personality once I started writing him/her/it. A personality too casually evil to leave alone once I'd found it.
As for the last page, based on comments it seems that most of you were getting the plot stuff fine and the emotion stuff fine. I particularly wanted the "I love you too" response to be bittersweet. That pause seemed to have the desired effect, so I'm pleased that those feelings came across to most of you. Great catch on details in prior pages, too. I was impressed that someone made the connection between events in page 8 and the events that occurred in previous pages. Well done!!

Well I wasn't expecting this! I just love Hans' changing expressions...but I do think the positioning of the Beast looks a little strange. Is it just because he isn't meant to fit in with the rest of the world?

Now Beast....he...it...drives me crazy! That's evil to the extreme! Which is so totally awesome to see, it's always open to have a character that's just essentially evil!
Dum dum dum Beast,"I am baack"... looking back on pg 7 and 8(because I am weird like that)I realize when Hans grip his band thing that he had a worry like look on his face...like " I hope this work"...and that Brand tone and behavior changes.
In reply to lux: No. I just messed up the proportions and the background. Not every little detail is intentional! In fact, most of them aren't! If it manages to create a mood, then I'm glad my mistake contributes to something.
God, Beast is creepy. It's nice to have someone I can flat-out hate in this story.

Hey, if even your mistakes work, you know you're good! Looking over the page again, I also love him being too big for the box...really helps the evil monster image...making him seem too big for the room.
