I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite pages of this set. I guess I just like Hans' "Oh, not ah-GEN!" outlook. And in case you're wondering, yes, Brand has attempted to kill himself many times before this. Also, if you have no heart, you have no need to breathe. Thus drowning yourself face-up becomes a little easier.
ALSO if you left a comment this week and didn't see it appear under comments, that's because I had something set wrong. It's fixed (I hope) and I will reply to any comments/questions that were left in the last post if need be. Sorry for the delay.
AND: To answer the "What's up with the style question" (and this is the LAST time I am answering it):
Each part in this chapter will have a different style. The SoG reason is to create different moods for different people. The personal reason is to expand my range. I felt that I was getting stagnant. This part of the story gives me a chance to expand my current skill set by using different styles that have different strengths and weaknesses. Otherwise, I'll get frustrated and bored. Generally, frustrated and bored creators stop creating. Therefore, I'm challenging myself artistically so I can grow, and you can still get comics. Ka-peesh?

So that's what's in the pouch, eh?
I've gotta say, this one made me love Hans a little bit more. And hate him a little bit more, too. Kinda... Awesomehatred.
I love these SoG pages that make me laugh out loud.
Just, Hans's mien. (And this repeated shot helps the approach, too--straight on.) But, Brand depresses me. He needs a hug. :(
Oohh, I think I get what that pouch thing that Hans is ALWAYS wearing is: I bet it has Brand's heart inside of it. That's the only reason I can imagine why Hans would never take it off: To keep Brand from actually, successfully killing himself. am i rite?
Wow. If that's the case, Hans really is a selfish prick.
On an unrelated note: I don't mind this new comments system, but the password verifications piss me off like no other! I know they're trying to prevent spam, but come on.
Hans' Number One Hater,
Reverie
i like the style of art that is being used in this chapter so far. it makes me happy. and it fits.
poor brand *hugs him*
Wow, I have to say this strip caught me completely by surprise. It really shouldn't have...there is no way Hans' hallucination(?) would be over that quickly...but there you go. I like what it hints though - Mist really is intelligent enough to weave a reality for people that they don't know to reject.
Personally, I love that you're using different art techniques and styles. It gives the comic as a whole a lot more "flavor" and a lot more interesting to read. Not only is the story line amazing and twisting, but it gives someone reading the comic the chance to feel like they're reading something from about 20 different artists. So, major props.
I like Hans and I think chapter will help see more of his reasoning (other than he's insanely in love with Brand and who wouldn't be?).
I can't wait to read more!
I never can!
I really like this style, actually. It conveys so much with so little. Wet!Brand especially is pretty neat.
This page just made me sit at my computer screen and stare for a bit. D:
The whole story of it makes my stomach do little flip flops! Why won't Hans give Brand's heart back? That seems so...selfish...especially if he's keeping it just so Brand will stay with him. That's just a wee bit selfish!
I kinda hope he has a better reason...*hopes that he's not just being uber self centered*...can't wait for the next page!
Obviously I'm not allowed to make any conjectures any more. At all. Yeah.
