Awww Brand! He is the most adorable in his 3rd picture! In the forth he looks kinda creep! and whats up with the other guy?

perhaps it's just me, but Sunfire seems rather....malevolent in the third frame. It's probably just he's so happy about being released though.

The ambiguity is on purpose. Is this a good guy? A bad guy? Has Brand found an ally, or just released a villain?

Oh, and Grace, I totally agree. I completely botched the face on Brand, but by the time I had realized that, I had already put down masking fluid...

Agh. WHICH I COULD HAVE RUBBED OFF AND THEN RE-DRAWN THE PANEL. WHY DID I ONLY THINK OF THIS NOW?? AGH!

*goes to bash face in wall*

relax, Robin. it coulda been worse.

In the meantime seems like Mist is in many ways helping its occupants through their inner demons.... David, bit by bit, grows emotionally, Hans finally breaks the mental barrier between him and accepting that what he was doing was horrible, and now Brand is remembering how not to be an angst-monkey (crying to release the stress, laughter to brighten the mood, etc.) though we've yet to see where it will end up.

Grey i'm not certain if we've seen yet, what with the torture session Hans held in which she was shown how badly she hurt everyone around her, everyone she cared about, all in a backlash against someone else entirely.

If you face you fears and learn something new, that can be a pivotal moment towards growth. If, on the other hand, you run away or repeat the same patterns, eventually you'll just fall apart.

Mist just shoves all those things in your face, usually in such a way as to trap people. Thing is, when it's all in a person's head, positive pieces of them can manifest in this environment as well. David has Epoch, Brand has his totems, and Hans had some deep-down legitimate love. Those are things Mist can't taint.
