I went to STOMP last night! It was sweet! For those of you who are expressing sentiments of "What the heck is STOMP?" I shall explain: STOMP is a mixture of rhythmic music combined with high energy movement and physical comedy. Also, every single instrument is a common object or, more often than not, trash. Instruments used included boxes of mints, empty water drums, metal sinks, lighters, pots and pans, plastic and paper bags, flexible piping, metal chairs, newspapers, and trash cans. The sound was explosive and intense. The Encore act was actually mostly just one man returning to stage and directing different portions of the audience to created their own song. It was super cool.
In other words, I was out and about, so the update is about 12 hours late. Whoops.

I like the art. And the juxtaposition of Spiderwoman and Grey, the vague and the more concrete, although realistically the spider would be more tangible than the sand. Also, it looks more as if Grey's going to strike Serenity than the other way around.
Yes, but what hunter was being described? That is the true question.
I've wanted to go to a STOMP for a while. It'd be thrilling!
I like the way this page's narration flows. That's my kind of thing. <3 Am I wrong for thinking "omg, Jabba the Hut" first? I should sleep more.
And I'm digging this style.
No wonder you are tapped out. I hear a visit to see STOMP is as physical as you can get without leaving your seat.
The Encore act was awesome for just that reason.
<3 Stomp.
Nothing like the reuniting of old acquaintances.
I had been a longtime fan of STOMP but didn't see it live until a few years ago. We were twenty minutes late and missed the beginning of the show so I was pretty bummed. Afterwards I was chilling near the entrance waiting to leave when three of the performers walked out, sat down beside me, and out of nowhere they were like, "Hey Alice! I hear you're a percussionist. :D"
I left with signed drumsticks and hugs. It sure made up for the missed beginning.
